Grasser Huppendorf

A traditional brewery and inn in the small village of Huppendorf (in the municipality of Königsfeld), right in the heart of Franconian Switzerland. A family-run business spanning generations – known for its down-to-earth Franconian charm, freshly tapped beer straight from the cellar, and a cosy, traditional pub.

History

Its roots date back to 1503 – at that time, there was a traditional tavern in the village. In 1750, Pankraz Grasser founded the family business as we know it today. In 1899, Jakob Grasser had a fermentation cellar built, which, due to a lack of refrigeration, could initially only be used in winter. It was not until 1953 that the first refrigeration system was installed under Michael Grasser. In 2018, the business was converted into Huppendorfer Bier GmbH & Co. KG – now run by Johannes and Andreas Grasser.
